Duffy Air Systems Inc at 2199 Princeton Street, Sarasota, Florida.

I will start this review by making it clear I am a renter of the home I preside in for the last 5 years, a detail that may have caused the treatment I experience but none this less I will share my experience. Terrible customer service and terrible assessment of the issue with my air conditioning unit. Duffy Air sent a technician to my home for an issue regarding the temperature in my home not dropping to a adequate temperature. They gave a window of time and showed up several hours prior to the requested window time without prior notice. Upon arriving and inspecting the unit the technician recommended cleaning the coil and changing the filter inside my home. The technician appeared to be having a bad day which is understandable although his use of profanity around my children was quite disturbing. To make matters worse his assessment revolved around an air flow issue and not a temperature issue which is what the service call was made for. Needless to say we change the filter to no avail, my home was still not cooling appropriately. I called the office to inquire why the necessary steps weren't taken to deal with the temperature issue as this was the reason for the service call and I was told I would get a call back after the receptionist spoke with the owner. I never did receive a call back. At that point we went ahead an got a second opinion through Cool Today. They sent a technician right away who was very courteous and helpful. He assessed the issue as a shortage of freon and to our delight the temperature issue in our home began to change for the better almost immediately after he added freon. I questioned the tech as to the condition of the coil and he stated it was an old system and would probably need to be changed at some point but the coil did not need to be cleaned and even if it was cleaned it would not solve the issue at hand. I would not recommend using Duffy Air due to the poor assessment and customer service in my home as well as there lack of professional follow up from the office. They are getting 1 star in my review for showing up the same day, other than that I would hope to never see them again!
